Mount A Curtain Rod From The Ceiling

Add drama and design to your room by hanging curtains from the ceiling down to the floor. Curtains can create a functional room divider for privacy in a small space or create an individualized headboard in a bedroom. Use them on a back porch or around a pergola to create outdoor curtains. Stylish and imaginative, curtains come in a wide array of textures and colors to coordinate with your style and design palette.

Instructions

1. With a pencil, mark a series of dots along the ceiling where you will install the ceiling mount brackets. Use a measuring tape and carpenter's level to make sure the curtain rod will be mounted in a straight line.

2. With a masonry drill, drill pilot holes into the marked areas. Insert a molly bolt into the holes. Tighten to set the anchor in the molly bolt. Molly bolt's have strong holding power and will ensure your curtain rod is secure.

3. Insert the screws through the ceiling mount brackets and into the molly bolt opening. Turn the screw clockwise using a screwdriver until tight.

4. Measure the curtains to ensure they are the correct height and width. Slide the curtain(s) onto the curtain rod. Position the curtain rod into the brackets.
