Change A Light Bulb In A Progress Lighting Model P368815

For over 100 years, Progress Lighting has manufactured lighting for both commercial and residential applications. As of 2010, they offer more than 5,000 lighting fixtures in varying designs. Some fixtures, despite having traditional round or square shapes, require unique methods to remove the glass shades and access the light bulbs. The Progress Lighting fixture P3688-15 is one of the most uniquely designed fixtures. Wear safety goggles when removing the glass shade from the fixture to protect your eyes from items falling from the light and ceiling.

Instructions

1. Stand on a stepladder to reach the Progress Lighting Model P3688-15 light fixture.

2. Place your hand against the glass shade of the light fixture. Push up very slightly while turning the glass shade counterclockwise a quarter turn to release the shade from the fixture.

3. Twist the burned-out bulb counterclockwise to remove it from the socket.

4. Install a new 60-watt incandescent light bulb into the socket by twisting it clockwise.

5. Push the glass shade back into the Progress Lighting fixture. Place slight pressure onto the glass, holding it in place. Turn the glass a quarter turn clockwise to lock the glass shade into the fixture.
