Replace A Hampton Bay Exterior Solar Light Bulb

Hampton Bay is the in-house brand for Home Depot. Hampton Bay offers a variety of ceiling fans and lighting products. One of its lines features exterior solar lights. These solar lights are simple in design and use a lens as the light bulb. Accidents happen, though, and sometimes the lens bulb becomes cracked or damaged. Fortunately, it is possible to replace a Hampton Bay exterior solar light bulb instead of replacing the entire solar light.

Instructions

1. Grasp the lens bulb near the base with one hand. Twist the top cover of the solar light counterclockwise with your free hand and remove it from the bulb.

2. Hold the pole with one hand and pull the bulb lens out of the pole with your free hand. The bulb lens simply snaps in and out of the pole.

3. Push the neck of the replacement bulb lens into the top of the pole until the small ring on the neck of the lens bulb makes contact with the pole.

4. Slide the battery compartment door on the bottom of the cover with your thumb. Pull out the battery and install a new rechargeable AA battery. Slide the battery compartment door closed.

5. Position the tabs on the bottom of the cover between the tabs on the inside of the lens bulb. Twist the cover clockwise to lock it in place.
