Install A Ceiling Fan With Remote

Install a Ceiling Fan With Remote

This article will help you with ceiling fan installation with remote. I have done this many times and it's not that difficult.

Instructions

1. You will first need to turn the breaker off to area where fan will be installed. If unable to locate the exact breaker, you may want to turn off the power to the entire house or apartment. Locate the junction box and attach the mounting bracket. This will generally be two to four screws. Make sure this is secure because this will hold the weight of your fan.

2. Your fan should be assembled at this point. It's simple to assemble once purchased. Before you do anything else, make sure the hand-held remote and remote control are set to the same frequency. There will be a dip switch in both. This is very simple. Set all four switches up or down on both.Your fan will not work without completing this step.

3. Remember to insert your cover over the downrod before mounting. Lift your fan up by holding the downrod and place into the bracket. After its in the bracket move it around until it falls in place. You will know because it will no longer spin around. It will lock in place. Now you can attach your wires. Its very simple. The white wires together, the black wires together, attach ground wires, and there will be a blue wire coming from the fan. Attach this to the blue wire coming from the remote. After all is attached, you can finish off all your connections with electrical tape.

4. Now you can position your cover into place and screw tight. Turn on the breakers and test your fan.
