Decorate A Kid'S Camping Room

A camping room can help a child stay connected to the outdoors.


Decorating a kid's room to resemble a camping scene can allow the child to stay close to nature. The scenery can help bring a calm and peaceful feeling to the child in his private space. From trees on the walls to stuffed bears, a few changes can help you to bring the camping atmosphere right into your child's room.


Instructions


1. Put a forest mural on every wall.


2. Build a tent around the bed. A family size tent may be your best option.


3. Placed stuffed bears, deer and squirrels around the room.


4. Recover the furniture with wood wallpaper, available online, instead of purchasing new furniture.








5. Install a fiber optic ceiling. Read the installation instructions before purchasing the the lighting to make sure it is possible to do in that room.


6. Build a fake campfire in the room. Find small, cut logs, put them in a pile in the corner of the room, place a fake flame among them so it appears as though there is fire, then put medium sized rocks in a circle around the fake logs.
