A screwdriver is one of the tools you'll need for this job.
While most home speakers are built so
Instructions
1. Remove the bases from your ceiling speaker mounts. Most ceiling speaker mounts consist of two segments, a base and an arm that attaches to the speaker. These are usually held together by a bolt and a wing nut.
2. Place the base of the mount against the ceiling at the desired location. Mark the screw holes in the base onto the ceiling with a pencil.
3. Drill a hole in each of the marked locations that's slightly smaller than the diameter of your hollow wall anchors. Push the anchors into the holes. Line up the base with the holes and insert screws through the base and into the anchors. Tighten the screws to snug the base tight against the ceiling. When drilling, you may encounter a ceiling joist behind the drywall. If this is the case, don't attempt to insert a wall anchor -- fasten the screw directly into the wood.
4. Mount the arm onto the speaker. Some speakers have threaded inserts that will match with screws provided with the mount. If there's no threaded insert you'll need to use the wood screws provided with the mount to attach the arm to the speaker.
5. Attach the arm holding the speaker to the base of the ceiling mount.
6. Measure and cut a length of self-adhesive speaker wire channel to extend from the ceiling mount to the wall. Cut a second piece to extend from the ceiling to the floor. Peel the backing off of the channels and attach them to the ceiling and wall. Push the speaker wire into the channels.
