Disassemble A Fan From The Blade

Disassembling a ceiling fan from the blades is a job that you can complete in about an hour. Each of the fan blades is attached to the motor housing with a metal fan blade arm that is secured with screws to the housing and the blade itself. Instructions

1. Turn off the ceiling fan and let the blades stop completely. Locate the screws that secure the fan blade arm to the motor housing. Use a ladder if necessary to reach the fan.

2. Unfasten the two screws that secure each of the fan blade arms to the motor housing with a screwdriver.

3. Take the fan blades off the motor housing. Using a screwdriver, unfasten the screws that secure the fan blades to each of the fan blade arms. Set the blades out of the way.
