Biometal models, devices containing the powers of heroes from the past, are the weapons of "Mega Man ZX." Although you begin with only the Model X biometal, you find additional biometals as you defeat Pseudoroids, large boss-type enemies. Each new biometal gives you access to a wider arsenal of attacks, equipping you with the weapons needed to fight more diverse enemies. Some of these biometals even grant you special abilities, such as abilities to locate hidden items or create jumping platforms.
Instructions
Model ZX
1. Defeat Gyro to obtain the Model ZX biometal.
2. Jump over or dash under Gyro's attacks.
3. Watch the ground carefully when Gyro, while standing in place, starts pounding on the ground. Damaging yellow geysers will soon start shooting out of the ground. To avoid getting hit by new geysers, move to the places where the geysers just stopped shooting.
4. Use Model ZX for general combat purposes or for when an opponent has no elemental weakness.
Model HX
5. Defeat Hivolt by targeting his wings with ice attacks.
Stay close to the middle of the arena when fighting Hivolt. The lower ground will allow you to quickly dash beneath his attacks. When Hivolt moves toward the middle and above you, he is about to unleash his Laughing Thunder. During this attack, red lasers will mark where Hivolt is about to fire lethal laser attacks.
6. Defeat Hurricaune by targeting his neck with ice attacks.
Use a wall jump followed by a dash jump to leap over any cyclones Hurricaune creates. Avoid the projectiles coming off the drill when Hurricaune starts drilling, and jump when Hurricaune hits the ground, because the impact will create electricity arcing across the floor.
7. Use Model HX to inflict electricity damage and locate weak points on bosses.
Model LX
8. Defeat Lurerre by targeting the smaller part of her body with fire attacks.
You can avoid most of Lurerre's attacks simply by jumping. However, two of her attacks--where she moves toward you in an attempt to eat you and where she fires a blue beam, which has a very long duration--are best avoided by jumping and reverting to your human form, which stays in the air for longer periods of time after jumping.
9. Defeat Leganchor by targeting his shoulders with fire attacks.
Avoid Leganchor's projectile attacks with dash jumps and simply stay away from the whirlpools he summons. Destroy the eels he sends out with the Model ZX saber attack.
10. Use Model LX to inflict ice damage, swim more quickly, locate items and create platforms.
Model FX
11. Defeat Fistleo by targeting his head with electricity attacks.
Using and dash jumps to avoid Fistleo's attacks. Attack Fistleo when he summons his healing circle to prevent him from recovering too much health.
12. Defeat Flammole by targeting his claws with electricity attacks.
Use wall jumps and regular jumps to avoid Flammole's fire attacks, and stand back when he burrows into the ground to avoid being hit by rocks.
13. Use Model FX to inflict fire damage and smash blocks to unveil secret paths.
Model PX
14. Defeat Purprill by targeting his arms.
Use wall jumps and dashes to avoid Purprill's attacks.
15. Defeat Protectos by targeting his face.
Get behind Protectos when he fires his large missile to avoid the blast. Use your ZX saber to destroy the smaller missiles, since avoiding them is generally not possible.
16. Use Model PX to throw daggers at an extremely high rate of fire, hang on the ceiling and walls, and locate hidden doors.
Model OX
17.Fight Omega to obtain Model OX.
18. Keep your distance during the fight. Omega has three powerful melee attacks that can damage you even if you think you're a fair distance away. Two of these attacks even trap you, thus preventing you from escaping until full damage has been inflicted.
19. Jump over Omega's projectile attacks.
20. Attack relentlessly when Omega attempts to heal.
21. Defeat Omega, and you will receive Model OX. Use Model OX to perform special combination moves.
