Reinvent Your Room with a Mounted Television
1. Draw your space and include the measurements of walls and the possible interference of unmovable objects. Then measure your television and choose a space that will give you the best visibility in the room and close proximity to outlets.
2. Mark on the ceiling with a pencil where your mount is going to be installed. Make sure there is enough room between the television and the wall and make sure the mount is screwed into something solid, such as the ceiling joist. Simply hanging the mount from wall board or plaster will not support the weight of the television.
3. Ask a helper to spot you while you screw the hardware into the ceiling.
4. Attach clamps to the television.
5. Screw the mount base into the clamps.
6. Have someone help you lift television to the mount extension and screw the mount base into mount extension.
7. Wrap safety belt around television.
