Curtains aren't just for covering windows; they also work well as room dividers when hung from the ceiling of a large room. Ceiling mount rods and brackets are available for this purpose, or you can use wall mount brackets that encircle the entire rod and secure it in place in all directions. Curtain clip rings look like shower curtain rings with a clip attached; the rings encompass the curtain rod in the same manner. Curtains clipped to the rings hang straight down from any mounting location.
Instructions
1. Measure the distance that will be covered by the curtain. Purchase ceiling mount curtain rods or wall mount ceiling rods with brackets that close around the rod.
2. Hold the brackets up to the ceiling where the rod is to be installed and mark the screw holes. Measure and compare the distance between the closest wall and each bracket to ensure the rod will be mounted straight across the ceiling.
3. Fit an electric drill with a drill bit one size in diameter smaller than the mounting screws and drill pilot holes through each screw hole mark.
4. Hammer drywall anchors the same diameter as the mounting screws gently into the pilot holes.
5. Hold the brackets up to the ceiling and screw the mounting screws through the brackets and into the anchors.
6. Thread curtain clip rings onto the rod and secure the rod to the brackets. Clip the rings onto the top hem of the curtain at regularly spaced intervals.
