Get Pvc Tiles Super Clean

Decorative PVC tiles stay super clean with regular cleaning.

PVC tiles are sometimes used on ceilings, in garages or as facings for ceiling tiles. The durable material is easy to maintain while mimicking the appearance of plaster, metal or wood. As is the case with other tile, PVC tiles collect dirt and dust, and it can become stained. You can get your PVC tiles super clean with regular maintenance and the proper cleaning supplies.

Instructions

1. Remove loose dust and dirt from the PVC tiles by wiping them off with a dry dust mop. Shake the dust mop off outside as needed and continue to dust the tiles.

2. Pour 1 gallon hot water in a bucket. Add 1 tablespoon of dishwashing detergent. Stir the two together to make a soapy solution.

3. Soak a sponge in the detergent solution and wring out the excess moisture. Scrub the tiles to remove stuck-on stains and dirt. Rinse your sponge frequently before continuing to wash the tiles.

4. Rinse the PVC tiles with a damp cloth to remove the detergent solution. If any stains remain, sprinkle baking soda onto the moist sponge for safe abrasiveness and scrub the stain until removed. Wipe the PVC tile with the damp cloth to remove baking soda residue.

5. Dry the PVC tiles with another cloth to remove moisture and add shine.
