The Optoma HD20 front projector use a high-intensity bulb to illuminate the images being thrown on the projection screen. A defective or burned out bulb must be replaced if the projector is to continue being used. The projection bulb is built into a module. To replace it, you need to remove it from the projection compartment and put a compatible replacement lamp module in its place. No special tools are required.
Instructions
1. Place a bath towel on a table. Remove all of the cables connected to the Optoma front projector, including the power cord. Place the Optoma face down on the bath towel.
2. Remove the two screws from the lamp cover on the bottom of the Optoma with the Phillips jeweler's screwdriver. Lift the cover off the compartment.
3. Remove the screw on each side of the lamp module inside of the compartment with the screwdriver.
4. Grip the handle on the top of the lamp module. Pull the lamp module out of the compartment with a single upward motion.

6. Turn the Optoma over. Place it back in its original location. Reattach the cables.
