Disinfect Arjo Ceiling Lifts

Arjo ceiling lifts offer ease of care with geriatric and invalid patients who need assistance getting in and out of bed. These ceiling lifts also serve a myriad of other medical purposes, from minor to severe. Disinfecting and cleaning Arjo ceiling lifts isn't a difficult task, but it must be done on a daily basis to ensure optimal cleanliness. Cleaning and disinfecting an Arjo ceiling lift quickly can be completed with your daily chores.

Instructions

1. Unhook the cloth straps from the Arjo ceiling lift. Squeeze the topmost hook to release the entire cloth attachment from the hanging base.

2. Throw the cloth straps of the lift into the laundry with any bedding or similar items that need laundering.

3. Hold the canned compressed air up to 5 inches from the surface of the lift device. Aim the nozzle toward the nooks and crannies of the device as you press firmly to release pressurized air. This knocks loose dust particles from the internal parts of the base to aid in the cleaning and disinfecting of the Arjo ceiling lift.

4. Hold the can of disinfectant spray about 5 inches from the surface of the Arjo ceiling lift base. Press firmly to release a fine mist of the disinfectant spray over the entire surface of the device. Spray lightly into crevices of the device as well. Canned disinfectants on the commercial market vary from brand to brand, so select one that best suits your needs.

5. Wipe down the surface of the ceiling lift with the clean linen cloth. A cotton terry washcloth also is adequate for this task. This removes excess disinfectant and dust particles from the base.
