Harbor Breeze represents the trade name for a line of ceiling fans manufactured for Lowe's Home Improvement stores and sold exclusively by them. The product line contains several models including Lakeside, Queensland, Bellhaven and Aero. The Aero model further breaks down into Bronzed and Brushed Pewter, two different finishes, each manufactured for Lowe's with certain specifications as to function and design.
Blades
The Aero ceiling fan, intended for indoor use, includes in its name the designation 52 inches, which refers to the diameter of the fan. To measure the diameter it would be necessary to start at a point in the middle of the fan and go out to the end of a fan blade and then double the number. The fan consists of five mahogany to walnut finish blades that rotate when the fan activates. The blades have a reversible feature, meaning they can turn either clockwise or counterclockwise. The motor for the Aero bronzed that provides power for the fan has three speeds, providing the user with options as to blade speed. The Aero brushed pewter's motor provides the user with five blade speeds.
Airflow
This specification refers to the amount of air generated by the fan. For the Aero Bronzed the maximum airflow when operating at the highest of the three speeds lists at 5,032 cubic feet per minute (cfm). Harbor Breeze further breaks down the numbers to high speed electrical usage, that is, the number of watts used by the fan to produce the 5.032 cfm. That number is 62.6 watts, meaning the airflow efficiency of the Aero fan, or cfm divided by watts, calculates at 80.39. The Aero Brushed Pewter with its five speed motor, generates 6,360 cfm using 62 watts for an airflow efficiency of 102.
Light
The Aero comes equipped with a light source, requiring one 100 watt which can turned on either by the wall switch or the included remote control.
