Hang Banners From Grid Ceilings

Drop ceilings consist of a metal grid that supports individual ceiling tiles. These tiles are often made of lightweight drywall boards or sturdy foam. Hanging a banner from a drop ceiling involves securing the corners of the banner on the ceiling grid itself. Although there are special hangers designed for hanging things from a grid ceiling, two paperclips work just as well.

Instructions

1. Punch two holes in the banner with the scissors: one on the upper right side and one on the upper left, both 1 inch in from the corners of the banner.

2. Undo the central bend of the paperclips, leaving two loops: one on either end. Thread the smaller end through the hole on the right side of the banner, looping it around so that the larger loop faces outward. Repeat on the other side of the banner.

3. Place the stepladder underneath the section of the ceiling where the banner will hang.

4. Grasp the right side of the banner by the paperclip. Loop the end of the paperclip over the metal grid, bending the clip as needed to hold it in place. Repeat on the other side of the banner.
