Be creative, and add items such as hot air balloons or a sun.

Make your child's ceiling fan look like airplane propellers by replacing the fan blades with ones shaped like propellers and adding a cone to the base. If you aren't handy with these sorts of things, check out your favorite home improvement store to purchase fans that already look like an airplane propeller.

Purchase removal wall paper cutouts of airplanes at craft stores. Put them all over your sky-inspired walls. Hang pictures with airplanes on them. Buy a few toy airplanes, and hang them from the ceiling at different heights around the room, being careful to avoid the fan blades.

Purchase Bedding

Purchase or make bedding to finish off the room. Airplane-inspired sheets, comforters and pillows will allow your child to dream of flying high amongst the clouds. If you can not afford to purchase all new bedding, or you want extra sheets and pillowcases that are plain, buy sky blue sheet sets. These will still match the room and your airplane theme.
