Disassemble The Blade Cx2

The Blade CX2 is a light hobbyist helicopter with dual blades designed for maximum stability. Although the helicopter's two-blade setup is designed to maximize in-flight stability, it is not uncommon that a crash may appear. This is particularly the case when flying in wind as the Blade CX2 weighs only 8 oz. and can easily be buffeted in the wind. For this reason, replacing individual parts for your Blade CX2 can be necessary, requiring the helicopter to be disassembled. In addition, upgrading the CX2 with more advanced parts will require disassembling the helicopter.

Instructions

1. Remove the canopy of the helicopter. It is held on by rubber grommets connected to small internal rods.

2. Remove the two body rods that sit sideways in the helicopter by pulling them out with your hands. They cross the width of the Blade CX2. One can be found at the beginning of the tail section and one can be found below the batter case.

3. Remove the landing skids by gently pulling them away from the Blade in each of the two places where the skids connect. Do this for all four connectors and remove the skids.

4. Gently remove the tail section and the antennae. In most Blades, the antenna is wrapped around the battery case.

5. Remove the circular drive-gear of the Blade by loosening the screws and pulling it off with your hands. Unsnap the fly-bar from the upper assembly. This is the piece connecting the two rotors and can be easily popped apart with your hands.

6. Remove the lower rod head by loosening the retaining screws that attach it to the drive-train. When loosened, it can simply be pulled off.
