Instructions for Installing the Hampton Bay Ceiling Fan
Hampton Bay ceiling fans are the most popular ceiling fans sold. They are known for their style and durability. Installing a Hampton Bay ceiling fan is fairly easy, but you should have a basic understanding of ceiling fan installation. When installing a Hampton Bay fan, pick a central location where the fan will offer the most benefit. For easier installation, pick a location that has an existing light or where a prior ceiling fan was once placed. Turn off the power to this location at the main electrical box.
Mark the spot of your new Hampton Bay ceiling fan by placing the electrical box on the ceiling and marking with a pencil. If you need a bigger hole, use a keyhole saw to cut out the additional ceiling.
Slide the electrical box into the hole. Push the box in until it is flush with the bottom of the ceiling and secure with the screws that are provided with the electrical box.

Match the wire colors together; match white to white and black to black wires.
You will need assistance with the installation so that you can twist the wire together while another person holds the ceiling fan unit.
Once the wires are fastened together, secure them with the wire nuts that come with the Hampton Bay ceiling fan.
Slide the mounting bracket that comes with the Hampton Bay ceiling fan up to the electrical box, and secure it with the screws that came with the fan.
Secure the Hampton Bay ceiling fan unit to the ceiling, and be sure to use the screws that came with the fan. Slide the ceiling blades into place until you hear them lock. Secure the pull chain and test the fan by turning on the power at the main box.
