Paint Speaker Covers

Paint speaker covers to fit the color of the living space.

Speakers can be unsightly and ruin the theme of a room. There may be instances where you would like to hide those speakers but have no clue do it. There is a way to conceal those speakers so they go with the color or theme of your living space. Painting speaker covers may seem like a daunting task, but it can be done with the right supplies. You have the ability to paint the speaker covers to match the color or the wallpaper of your choice.

Instructions

1. Clean the speaker cover with a damp cloth. Make sure that the dust and dirt is removed from every crevice. You can also use a duster to remove the loose dust.

2. Thin the paint of your choice by applying a small amount of paint thinner. The paint thinner ensures that the paint goes on evenly and it doesn't block the holes of the speaker cover. You want thin paint, not watery paint.

3. Dip the foam brush into the paint mixture and apply a thin coat onto the speaker cover. Apply the paint lightly so it doesn't clog the holes of the speaker. It is best to place a few sheets of newspaper down when painting the speaker covers, so the paint doesn't damage your work area. Let the first coat dry before applying a second coat if you want a darker color.

4. Allow the paint to dry for five to 10 minutes. After it is completely dry, reattach the speaker covers to the speakers.
