Harbor Breeze ceiling fans are an exclusive line of Lowe's products. The Harbor Breeze comes in a wide variety of styles and colors. They also offer a wide selection of light kit ceiling fan models. Some with multiple lights and some with single fixtures. Replacing the bulbs in Harbor Breeze ceiling fans require removing the burned out bulbs first. Removing bulbs is the same process among all the manufacturers. The key is removing the globe that covers the bulb.
Instructions
1. Turn off the Harbor Breeze ceiling fan switch. As an extra precaution, turn off the circuit breaker that supplies power to the switch.
2. Place a step ladder under the ceiling fan light fixture. Examine the outside of the enclosed fixture globes. The smaller multiple globes usually have three round thumb screws securing the globe to the fixture.
3. Hold the bottom of the globe in one hand and turn the thumbscrews counterclockwise with your free hand. You do not need to remove the screws. Just loosen all three evenly enough that you can lower the globe away from the bulb and fixture.
4. Place your hand over the center of the globe, if you have a single globe fixture in the center of the ceiling fan. Look around the outer circumference of the fixture housing for thumbscrews. Loosen them just as you would on a multiple light fixture. Push up on the globe lightly and turn it counterclockwise to unscrew it from the ceiling fan, if there are no thumbscrews.
5. Unscrew the light bulb and screw in a replacement that is the same size and wattage. Reinstall the globe in the reverse order you took it off. Do not over tighten thumbscrews.
6. Turn on the power to the ceiling fan and turn the switch on to power the lights.
