Lamanator plus or other method

Lamanator Plus or other method?

Hi I recently laid some wood laminate flooring, but we are having trouble keeping some of it clean. The part in question is about 12 foot x 15 foot and is right by the patio door. This of course is a high usage area, and always has footprints (dogs and children) showing. We have been using vinegar to clean it with, but this doesn't have much effect for long. We've been looking at this lamanator plus stuff which looks like it will solve the problem, but are unsure, and it is expensive ($70). We were wondering if anyone has used it and is it good, or is there a better alternative out there? Many thanks for any replies. Welcome to the forums. What kind of long term effect are you hoping for? You can't pre-clean the floor, you can only do so after the mess is made. My first thought is a big rug in front of the door so they don't hit the laminate right away with grubby feet. What exactly is Lamanator Plus? I don't see how the product mentioned will prevent any footprints or soiling. Looks more like it's for restoring or increasing shine. Thanks for your replies. This is the site I found it on (or rather my other half did) lamanatorusa.com/ We do have a rug in front of the door, but when our dog (a big lab) comes back in from the yard, of course he leaves footprints. The vinegar we use really isn't working on this surface (used to work great on our other floor), so really we are after suggestions of something that does work well against grubby feet. How about wiping the dog's feet while it's still on the rug? The rug by my front door is 5' x 8' in a hallway only just over 5' wide so everyone coming in has to cross 8' of rug before they hit floor. Not much problem in my house but I do have ceramic instead of laminate so that's an apples to oranges comparison. Yeah, we tried that for a while, but when the kids let him in, well you can probably imagine 'oh yeah, I forgot'. We'll have a look and see what's available in Bed Bath beyond, but was hoping for a good recommendation. There really isn't anything that can prevent dirty floors. Have you considered an automatic floor cleaner like Mint Plus? Seems like the next best thing, if it bothers you that much.
