GE Nautilus Dishwasher will not fill with water
I have a GE Nautilus dishwasher which will not fill with water. we've read some info and have seen some possible causes. Checked the float (not the switch) and appears to be functioning. thought we could fill the bottom of the tub with water and run a cycle but the water keeps draining once door is closed and cycle is started. Does this help to pinpoint the malfunctioning part? Welcome to the forums. Is this an electronic model or mechanical timer. Post a model number for your unit. It may be programmed to empty tub before filling so that all cold, dirty water is removed. Have you tried different cycles ? It could very well be a fill valve or float switch problem. Do you have a voltmeter and know use it ? thank you. GE3230f00ww. i think timer is mechanical - buttons dial that you turn. we tried different cycles last night - hot start normal wash. also we added water several times when it's in the beginning middle of wash cycle. checking around neighborhood for voltmeter I can't find any unit associated with that model number. Very similar to all the other older models I have seen on your site. GSD3230F00WW SN GA81948013 I purchased a Volt meter today. GE Dishwasher - Won't Fill - Model GSD3230F00WW - Repair Clinic we found out it was the solenoid. i'm trying to install the replacement. there is a plastic piece I'm must install first and I can't get the arm to line up with the hole in the plastic piece. Dear folks, especially PJMax, Well I got a new solenoid but could not get the plastic part back on as I had it on backwards, (Idiot!) It's on and washer is working. Thank you for all your help.
