Hang A Sheer Wall Cover From The Ceiling

A sheer wall cover allows light through.

Sheer wall coverings provide an element of texture and style in a room. They also can cover an unattractive wall. If hanging the sheer wall covering on the actual wall itself isn't an option, the ceiling provides an alternative method. Use caution when climbing the ladder and have an assistant on hand to help with the project for safety reasons.

Instructions

1. Measure the width of the sheer wall covering to determine the spacing of the eye hooks on the ceiling.

2. Mark the location for your eye hook installation by placing small pencil marks on the ceiling at the width of the wall cover.

3. Drill two small starter holes at the pencil markings and screw an eye hook into each one.

4. Cut a piece of high-tension airplane wire that's the width of the sheer wall covering plus an additional 6 inches.

5. Thread the wire through one of the eye hooks and fold 3 inches over so it touches the remaining wire. Secure it with a wire rope clip. Repeat the process on the other side of the wire.

6. Place several curtain clips along the wire. Use them to hang the sheer wall cover in place.
