A fiber optic ceiling installation is a great way to give your room a beautiful, star-like effect. To do this, you will need access to the space above the ceiling.
Drilling
Drill up from the room to avoid buckshots or ceiling explosions that will ruin the ceiling. Thread the fiber from the bottom up as this is smoother.
Fibers
After drilling and threading, use a plastic-friendly sealant or a small drop of epoxy to close the hole. Adhere the fibers from the top of the ceiling as well and direct them to the illuminator. You will need a second person to help you with the illuminator as you position the fibers.
Clip
Leave about 1/8-inch of fiber sticking out of the ceiling and clip them. Cutting the fiber flush with the ceiling produces a halo effect.
