Diy Ceiling Pot Racks

Hanging a pot rack from the ceiling cuts down on storage space requirements.

If you are an amateur cook, or just a cook with a large family, it is very likely you have a lot of pots with nowhere to put them. Sometimes pots are so large they fit awkwardly in the cupboard, or not at all. With ceiling-hung pot racks you can hang your pots over the cooking area so they are readily at hand. Pot racks are available from most hardware, home or kitchen supply stores.

Instructions

1. Locate a ceiling joist above your cooking area, using the stud finder. Mark the location of the joint.

2. Measure the distance between the screw holes on the pot rack and transfer them onto the ceiling, over the ceiling joists.

3. Pre-drill holes that are slightly smaller than the size included with your ceiling rack kit.

4. Hold the ceiling rack up to the ceiling with the help of a partner. Attach the ceiling screws through the rack and into the ceiling joists.
