The Stanley TRE550 Electric Stapler/Nail Gun is a two-in-one tool that can be used for a variety of projects. As the name implies, it functions as a stapler using heavy-duty staples or as a nail gun using 1/2-inch, 9/16-inch or 5/8-inch brads. The device has an 8-foot extension cord and an anti-jam feature which saves time and frustration for the user. Installing brads into the TRE550 stapler and nail gun is not difficult.
Instructions
1. Unplug the device's cord from the electrical socket to prevent accidental discharging of brads.
2. Move the trigger lock into the locked position by sliding it towards the rear of the device. The lock is located on the right side of the electric stapler.
3. Turn the stapler upside down with the front of the stapler facing towards you. Grasp the bottom of the stapler with one hand and pull up on it to open the loading compartment.
4. Tilt the stapler towards you at a slight angle and place the brads into the loading compartment with the points facing upward. Make sure that the brads all slide to the front wall of the device. If the brads do not slide, tilt the stapler at a sharper angle.
5. Release the bottom of the staple gun slowly to close the loading compartment. Make sure that the brads do not fall over to the left or right as you do this.
Tips Warnings
When using brads in the electric stapler, set the device to high power.
Do not use any sized brads other than those specified above. Other sizes will cause the device to jam and may damage it.
